Skips are for general waste, inert waste, wood, metal and builders waste. Due to weight restrictions, heavy waste can not be placed in the larger skips (12 yards and over). There are materials that we are unable to take away in a normal general waste skip. These include: fridges, TVs, computers, computer monitors), gas bottles, chemicals and solvents, batteries, clinical waste, liquids (such as oil), tyres and asbestos. Do I need a skip hire permit?

Permits are required by most local councils for skips that need to be placed on a public highway or road.

In most cases we will be able to arrange a permit for you. A few councils require that the hirer must apply for the permit, we will advise you during the booking process if you are required to arrange the permit. Some councils can take up to 7 working days to grant a skip license, so please take that into consideration when ordering a skip to be placed on the road.
